Poem- . . . And All Will Be Well
I like to live out my existence and somewhere between Psalms and Songs of Solomon. This piece,”. . . All Will Be Well” is a special tribute to a dear friend who is currently enjoying the company of Jesus. Today would have made him 31 years old, so I celebrate his brief, yet sweet life with a poem. Enjoy!
. . . .And All Will Be Will
There I sat in my loneliness
and God saw me.
To accommodate my lonesome soul
He decided to send me a bright and shining gift-
And that gift was you.
You were like my ice cream on a Summer’s day,
My flower in Spring,
and my fiery hearth in the winter –
Refreshing. Beautiful. And warm.
But likewise, designed only for temporary relief.
On the day you left this world,
you left my heart a little bit more grateful.
Though you could only love me for a season,
You left a Hersey’s Kissed shaped impression,
On my being for eternity.
On the day, my eyes close to this dear world,
I know I’ll see those gentle chocolate eyes again.
I’ll take your bronzed hand in mine once more,
and all will be well . . . . . .
And all will be Well.
