We all have gone through something that has wreaked havoc on our lives. Whether it was a bad relationship, being fired from a job, the death of a loved one, depression, and the list goes on and on.
Whatever the event, you might one day arise from the ashes and realize that you are totally surrounded by the plunder of war- be it lack of confidence, poor self-image, financial dishevel, a broken heart or a combination of them all. Whatever the case, you may have finally arrived to the point where you are ready to make positive changes and rebuild yourself brick by brick.
As promising as rebuilding sounds, it might also be equally daunting. You can easily be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of work you are up against and you might be too beset to start the process.
Well, fear not! Today’s podcast is all about rebuilding yourself after personal warfare from the ground up. Tonight I will highlight Five simple steps to help you smoothly began the healing process
Step 1 – Assess the Damage– Take a few days to evaluate the damage that personal warfare has created in your life and simply assess everything without condemning yourself for the ruin. Look at what’s been broken and write it down as a guide to have a clear idea of what’s needs work in your life.
Step 2– Create a Vision Board– Once you have evaluated the damage, create a vision board of what you want in place of the brokenness. Many times vision boards feature material items and that’s ok, but it’s important to also create a board that highlights those less concrete things we desire.
Find a picture of someone laughing to manifest happiness. Find a picture of a person praying to manifest inner peace. The vision is yours. You know what you need to feel whole again, be creative and have fun! Try your best to sit in front of your board for a few minutes and actually visualize your life having the things your desire. You will be amazed at how this exercise not only provides you with joy, but also helps you manifest the things your want into your physical reality.
Step 3–Began Journaling– Through journaling you will be surprised to see the emotions that surface and even the actual solutions you need to your problems arise. God gifted us all with an internal mechanism where by everything we need is inside of ourselves. Just as everything a tiny seed needs is inside of it self to create a beautiful apple tree with thousands of seeds, deep roots, and years of fruit, everything we need exists inside of ourselves, but we must dig deep! Journaling gives us time to take off the veil of the ego and dig into the subconscious mind were many of the answers to our problems exist.
Step 4– Take up a Spiritual Practice– Studies have found that prayer and or thoughtful mediation can literally reorganize the structure of our DNA. Not only that, God does answer prayers and is totally willing and waiting to aid us in the process of rebuilding.
Step 5–Start Speaking Positively– Too often we engage in negative self-talk and it is important to speak positively over or lives. When you find yourself starting to speak negatively about your situation or yourself, replace those negative words with more postivity and gratefulness. Putting that energy into the universe returns to you with more postivity and blessings. Remember everything is energy, be cautious of the energy you put out.
I hope these five steps greatly aid you in your journey toward a new life after war. Know that you can do this! Be kind to yourself and understand the process will eventually lead you to the destination you deserve.
